Dragon tea is a play on words—or perhaps characters in this case. Oolong tea is written 烏龍茶 in traditional Chinese. Remove one character, and you have 龍茶 (dragon tea). I don’t speak Chinese, so I’m not certain whether a Chinese speaker would regard this as a clever play on words or senseless gibberish. However, the thought that it could be a creative construction was impossible to resist. The piece itself is an amalgamation of public domain imagery and digital painting in areas, particularly in the steam (yes, the steam is shaped like a dragon).
