What does a lab mouse do when he’s out of work? He would no doubt grab any cardboard handy to advertise his talents.
I forgot how relaxing, if a little time consuming, Prisma Color pencils were. Normally I choose Canson paper, which can be a challenging surface since it has a pronounced tooth. However, Strathmore’s toned tan sketch paper seems too smooth…not unlike trying to draw on hot pressed Crescent illustration board, but with even less of a tooth. I wonder if spraying it first with workable fixative would help?
Anyway, this image would probably be more convincing if the mouse were drawn from a different perspective. Tomorrow’s project will probably be dedicated to developing this concept further.
A mouse does not rely on just one hole.
