The Commute Continues

So while I was sleeping, the entire 3D industry switched to Physically Based Rendering (PBR). Now, rather than study how light interacts when striking an object, I have to learn the properties of the object that reflects that light. A small nuance with a hefty adjustment for someone used to texturing the old way.

Here’s a test render with textures that are still inaccurate. Someone once told me that digital art wasn’t really art since it was all about clicking a mouse…
